First compilation of the year with the hosting Eagles beat the defending #sleague champions 1-0 at Bedok Stadium with a Leonel Felice strike from the spot in the dying minutes.

Another challenge task as I had constantly battle with the changing light conditions amid the evening sunset.

  • ACL Playoff - Tampines Rovers 1-2 South China AA 2/2/2014
The Stags did not have a good competitive start to the year with a 2-1 loss to 南华 of Hong Kong and will them back in the AFC Cup for the third time in running.

The loss of the reigning S.League champions meant Balestier Khalsa will not be competing in the second-tier continental club tournament.

  • Asian Cup Qualifiers - Singapore 1-3 Jordan 4/2/201414
ordan proved to our football nemesis whether it comes to a crucial juncture for a qualification for a major tournament.

Perhaps, we should use them as the benchmark to gauge our improvement and instead of the MOU signed years ago amid much controversies since.

  • AFC Cup Tampines Rovers 0-5 Kitchee SC 26/2/14
The result must be served as a wake-up call not just for the Stags but also for the whole Singapore football fraternity to stop the slide from going further down and also to ditch the "shiok sendiri" mindset that has been plagued in the scene.

To be frank, Kitchee SC should not be seen as a stranger to Singapore football in recent years for having come to play at the JBS on several occasions and would have more or less be prepared for this match to avoid such a margin.
