Good day to all, Would not want to embroil in some of those emotionally charged debates which are meaningless unless tangible actions are taken to put all those nonsense to stop once and for all than being used as a channel to vent those frustrations. On that "one particular topic", I would like to ask - at the end of the day, what is the message we try to bring across especially to those kids Is it meaning to say in the end, you will be forgiven after you served your punishment as if it is an "entitlement" for what you have been through when the key is to prevent anyone from doing the wrong thing at the very beginning? And let us not forget our government has strict laws on matters pertaining to "that thing" and there shall not be compromise on that. That will be my final and last comment on "that issue" And last but not least, all the best to Siti Rosnani Azman who is embarking on her new football journey when she will begin her professional c

"That" war is not over yet....

While it's a sign of relief to read the news that the wanted man - the former Liaoning Guangyuan team manager Wang Xin is caught in China (as depicted in the screenshot of TODAY's 27th Nov article). How about this guy mentioned below in the archive I screenshot from Google?

Bought this copy yesterday...

Really Kena Sabo.. teruk teruk...

Need not further explain my point. Look like "that thing" has really done us a great deed from denying us from joing the Asian elite club tournament. What a shame and the "BLACK SOCKS" are for those who really played us out.. KNN.. (P.S: the Black Socks were being used as in refer to the BLACK SOX scandal that rocked the US baseball scene in 1919)

"Unfortunately"...

I recently came to realize how the word -"Unfortunate" is so versatile in addressing some knotty issues. So for this instance, I would say it's unfortunate for me to realize such appeal for this "that thing" case is successfully appealed Unfortunately, the accused was threatened to obey what his team manager ordered, if not, he will be send back home. But, unfortunately, the accused just don't have the guts to report this incident to the next higher level instantly and resulted this unfortunate incident to happen. What an unfortunate thing to happen.. really unfortunate.. :(

It's not just about sun, sand and seas

Picture from "Wiki" I think that's the impressions of the Maldives, whenever people mentioned about this chain of islands off India are the SUN, SAND and the SEA. No doubt, it's a dream paradise for all holiday makers. But I would suggest this next time if you are there, take some time off the sun-bathing and catch some football action on the islands. Draw this conclusion after I saw Victory SC, one of the Maldivians clubs in the AFC Cup competition gave Home United a hard fight at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Normally, any foreign team played on this artificial surface of JBS would find it hard to get used to it, but not the Maldivians. It was surprise to see how well they adapted to the surface and even took the lead first! (not mentioned the blooper by Lions' custodian Lionel Lewis at the nearpost.. Ooops). But the home team picked themselves up and claimed the victory at the end of the day. PICTURES FROM JBS The coaches - (L-R) Mr PN Sivaji of Home United, Mr Ma

"蠢" (admended)

不是跟你说了吗? Told you so, didn't I? 都叫你别干"那回事"了 Told you don't get involved with "that thing" 现在好啦!"一失足千古恨" There you have it! "One wrong move and regret forever" 一个字形容你 - "蠢" Only ONE word to describe you - BODOH! (stupid) Some of you are puzzled who is the bespectacled guy talking over the phone? His name is Zhao Zhipeng (赵志鹏), one of the Liaoning's seven being charged for "that thing". As he's getting married soon, which was why He was the first to plead guilty to admit to have been involved in "that thing". There you have a it - going to get married soon and caught with your pockets stuffed with ill-gotten cash.... so calling him "BODOH", sounded harsh??

Drug ABUSE...

A spur of moment had me decided to pen this entry, after reading the conviction of disgraced Marion Jones for drug usage and other criminal charges. While, here in Singapore and particular this region on whole, we seems to emphasis more effort to tackle "that thing". The question here is - Are we putting in as much effort on curbing illegal drug usage, if any? No, no, no... I'm not implying that there's such practice is rampant in local football but the point is we ought to be alert as well in this drug abuse issue. Thank Goodness, we never had such a major embarrassment (on drug abuse) since the inception of professional football except those due to carelessness and "timely discover of it." One such carelessness case involved a player's (as he's still an active player, I would not reveal who he is) over dosage of an herbal concoction without knowing its dreaded consequence. And the meantime, a European player was denied from playing here after the t

"That thing" again loh....

Recently, someone asked about what I mean by "that thing" . If you guys ( see below ) read today's copy of "联合早报"(Lianhe Zaobao), "TODAY", "my paper 我报" (not sure if "The Straits Times" or "TNP" carried that news), you all should know what is "that thing" I referring to (as I promised myself not to mention "that thing" on cyberspace anymore). While the public have the every right to know anything regarding "that thing", however with the opening of the new season less than two months away and the national team about to embark their World Cup qualifiers, it is indeed a smack on the face. All efforts to build on the recent success of national team to attract fans back to the grounds hit a snag, following the breaking of the news. No doubt, questions will be asked again if any part of "that thing" really happened during the past months. If proven guilty… it’s really KNN (for those of yo

Some thoughts about "Anonymous" feedback

Weeks ago, someone left this comment (pictured above) on one of the blog entries. It occurred when this Mr "A" (for Anonymous) just could not accept the result after the U-23 defeated the highly-fancied Vietnamese. But the main concern was he mentioned "that thing" (I need not further elaborate as you know what I meant). It seems that more than a decade after Czech Michal Vana cabut (sneaked away) out of the island after "that thing", the effort of wiping out "that thing" is always the top priority of the game's governing body but to erase that mindset of some, it still a long way to go. While I don't wish to dwell on "that thing", rather I would like to say something from another side of it. Because the two own goals that "laid the foundation", thus it was not surprise to have those sceptics threw the darts at Raddy's boys. Though, a friend of me commented that it was the sheer pressure by the Cubs' frontline

What is my first thought after Chow was convicted??

Frankly speaking, unbelievable was the first word that came to my mind when the news first broke out. Here is a man whose legacy lays on the fact he’s one of the most successful coaches in the football fraternities on both sides of the Causeway. Having been through the period which we are fighting so hard to ward off “that thing”, yet here we have a well-respected man convicted for the trying to play around with “that thing”. Though we hardly spoke to each during his stint as the coach of Tampines Rovers and Paya Lebar Punggol, but for that infamous quote he mentioned had all but diminished whatever respect I have this man. “I have the best of the worst” as he was quoted during the introductory press conference for the then league debutant Paya Lebar Punggol.(merged with Sengkang Marine to form Sengkang Punggol after just a season.) For someone in him to mention something like this was totally unacceptable. For Heaven sake man, if then you weren’t keen to take the job why ridiculed the
