The official launch of the new Lions jersey ...

Amid the merry making setting at Amara hotel, the new national kit was officially unveiled with national players led by captain Shahril Ishak, Shahdan Sulaiman, Baihakki Khaizan, Safuwan Baharudin and Hariss Harun taking on to the stage, decked in the home and away stripes by Nike.

In the same setting graced by the presence of FAS President Zainuddin Nordin, Secretary General Winston Lee and national coach Raddy Avramovic, it was confirmed that the American sporting giants will extend its sponsorship to the Singapore national senior and youth teams until 2016.

Said Nike Singapore Country Marketing Manager, Mr Vijaya Kumar Jayaraj, on the extension of the partnership since 2006.

“We hope to inspire the fans to express their support for the Lions by giving them an avenue to share their messages of encouragement. We are happy to be continuing our partnership with FAS and hope that this will inspire the players to achieve a breakthrough performance at the AFF Suzuki Cup and bring the title back to Singapore,”

The event also saw the participation from the NFA U17 boys like Jeffrey Lightfoot and Ammirul Emmran in a "Q&A" interact session with their senior peers in some form of experience sharing session (which happened in the past before).

Following that, all players and fans, who were invited to the unveiling session, signed on a giant placard that allow any well-wishing message to be shared to wish the Lions all the best in the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup, that will be kicking off in a week's time against Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur.
