I got myself a new lenses that I tried out on a few occasions for the past few weeks, although I would say I am still trying to get the grip on areas such as the focusing mechanism and the various settings that I'm still on the ropes.
Wasn't I lucky that both teams were in light-colored outfit to make my job easier?
The settings were at 1/800, f2. 8 and ISO 3200 which made the shots looked noisy, but with the dark background it helped to "absorb and focus" while snapped these swift movements on the field.
Woodlands Wellington FC were unlucky to miss the penalty in the first half and paid the price to see the Bruneians back to the final for the second time on the roll.

Balestier Khalsa claimed their first major trophy since the inception of the league with a 4-0 shutout against defending holders DPMM at the JBS.
Swift intensify movement by the Tigers set the pace for them to nail the Bruneians down throughout the evening and won the game convincingly.
First time shooting at JBS using the new lenses, looks ok but long way to go.

The annual get-together of one of the most unique rivalries in Malayan football got underway in Shah Alam where the The Sultan of Selangor Cup was taken place with snaps from the S.League continent arrival in the state capital of Selangor ahead of the match.
Using the lenses for the first time under day condition (at Stadium Shah Alam) before the sun began to set with the increase in ISO and lowering of shutterspeed failed to work at times when needed most.

Despite not being first time shooting in this 80k arena, it's always a challenge to get the setting right to capture these special moments.
I appreciated the fact that both sides were decked in darker outfits in the main match and it's always, to me, a good gauge to know where my weaknesses are.
But little did I realize later that the pitch at Shah Alam is similar to Bishan with both blades of the grass are reflective that tuning down the ISO would help to balance these shots ....
For the record, Singapore representative sides won the Veterans match and lost the main match.
