[Media Information] Changes in the 2011 Great Eastern-YEO’S S-League and RHB Singapore Cup fixtures

SAFFC hold the record number of win of the S.League title

SINGAPORE, 11 August 2011: Due to the closure of several stadiums for the upcoming Presidential Elections and also to facilitate our National Team's preparations for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Asian Qualifiers, Third Round matches this year, the following 2011 Great Eastern-YEO’S S.League and Singapore Cup matches have been rescheduled or moved to a new venue.


The changes are as follow:

  1. The next question will be asked when is the season 2012 kick off?

    As far as I recall the shortest recess period in between was TWO months and it was a frantic period for almost everyone involved then.

    As mentioned by a friend in the earlier entry issues such as shorter resting period, field maintaining, scouting of players will be inevitable.

    It's really a tricky situation here on how the League authority is going to dealt with.

  2. The most critical factor is clubs with most national players like Home United and Courts Young Lions fare without them in the S-League, especially at this stage of the competition...
