Change of venue for International friendly against Hong Kong

Pioneer MRT Station is just 5 minutes away... (File Picture)
SINGAPORE, 12 August 2012: The International friendly between Singapore and Hong Kong will now be played at Jurong West Stadium instead of the originally scheduled venue, Bishan Stadium.

As all AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 group stage matches will be played in Malaysia on natural turf, it would be ideal for the Singapore national team to prepare for the tournament by playing friendly matches on natural turf. Being such, Jurong West Stadium was the original choice for this international friendly but it was unavailable for booking due to a scheduled maintenance.

However through the kind understanding and cooperation of Singapore Sports Council, adjustments were made to the maintenance schedule thus making Jurong West Stadium available for our match against Hong Kong on the 15th of August 2012.

Kindly note the updated details mentioned below on the International friendly match and ticketing.

  1. To be honest, Bishan would be an idea venue because of the location but there's a kopitiam beside Pioneer MRT that is packed with crowds during dinner, unless fans might want to have window shop at Jurong Point before walk along the viaduct to the ground.
