  • 2012 League Cup Quarter-Final: SAFFC 1-0 Hougang Utd 04/08/12
Fazrul Nawaz (pictured left) fired a shot across
Shimpei Sakurada's quick-thinking follow-up rebound off Tatsuro Inui's saved PK placed SAFFC to the League Cup semis with 2009 final rematch vs DPMM.

Gutted for the Cheetahs to have being eliminated from the Cup at the last kick of the game when it was almost certain heading to the extras.

Back to CCK for the shoot and I thought the dark background coupled with light coloured outfit of both sides made the focusing easy at the settings of 1/400. f5.6 and ISO3200 (the default setting for me)

  • 2012 Plate Final - Balestier 1-0 Courts Young Lions 10/8/12
"Did Poh apply super glue on his forehead??"
The newly created lifeline for honours for teams finished at the foot of their league cup groups that saw the "battle of meow-meow" at the JBS.

As what Balestier stated before the game that they prioritized the game as a game to get the much-needed practice for the reminder of the season and added that the $5k prize monies will go to the club kitty as pledged by the players as a form of gratitude to club.

Hard luck for the Young Lions who fought hard but not able to convert those chances they created.

  • International Friendly - Singapore 2-0 Hong Kong 15/8/12
$10 admission deter these folks from coming in....
Undoubtedly, many feedback online after the game were relatively concern over the lack of depth in the striking department after Duric's double.

While the Lions were domainance in the first half in play, a much conservative approach was adapted in the second with efforts to push Khairul Amri through upfront, although Juma'at Jantan and Nazrul gave a decent account for themselves by pushing the right flank.

As always, I wish the lights were bright enough, although the field looks a bit cut-up for a game...

  • S.League - Tampines Rovers 2-0 Home Utd 30/8/12
"Ah Long" (Noh Alam Shah, holding the mic) pondering a career switch?
Little did anyone might aware that on this match we had seen three of the potent striking talents in Singapore football in the recent years when Tampines Rovers' Ahmad Latiff Khamarudin and Noh Alam Shah were playing on the same match against Home United's Indra Shahdan Daud.

It's just a pity this prized triumvirate of local football hardly got a chance to be featured in the Lions' lineup in when they were at most devastating form.

The 2-0 scoreline suggested Home United's title is all but gone...
