"Sorry, no photograph please...."

That was what I was told by the stadium "jaga", as he pointed to me the poster at the notice board that said no video and filming are allowed at the stadium premises. "If you want , you have to speak to my officer at second floor" said the "jaga". The point was that never in my blogging experience I was told that photo-taking was not allowed in any of the SSC stadium (unless it is really the case). Having cleared the air, it was concluded these poor "jaga" are just blindly follow the orders.... Ok, back to the business that there was a tip-off that one of the guest teams of this season's RHB Singapore Cup - Phnom Penh Crown were having their training session at Jurong West Stadium and decided to pop-in for a check. Since, I wasn't allowed to take any photo... I thought the whole blogging would be called-off but managed to snap this (above) from the stand. Eventually, the air was cleared and here I was standing back their coach watching t...

Fatigued Warriors lost one title....

SAFFC were knocked out of the Singapore Cup tournament by a resurrected Geylang United at the Bedok Stadium. Picture tells a thousand words - take note of SAFFC's players' (in darker outfit) reaction after the game. "They (Geylang) took their chances and we didn't." said grim-faced Richard Bok after his fatigued SAFFC were knocked out of the Singapore Cup by Geylang United. "Football is that we don't score and we don't win the game at all. "The morale is a bit low and it's not easy to get it up but we'll try." he added "The urgency to win is there as we want to prove our last three victories before the draw against the Young Lions were not fluke." said Geylang's coach Mike Wong (above) in his post-match assessment with the press. "Every game to us is like a Cup Final now since we started off quite badly in our league campaign. "The important thing is keep team going on to do right thing now." added Wong, ...

Behind the scene ....

My pal Antony Sutton might not fancy another shot to climb up to this scaffold structure..hehe I always want to take a closer look at those equipments used in every "Friday Night Football" and when the game was shifted to Bedok Stadium for the Cup fixture between Geylang United and SAFFC , I decided it's time to take some shots on them. The commentary booth ... with two secondary camera stands positioned beside the main one This is the camera for some close-up, goalmouth actions Interview with both coaches before the game Is this vehicle called the SNG?

Central Derby - Nothing changes much...

So in the end, the same story happened like most of the Central Derby fixtures in the past - Home United walked away with a comfortable 3-0 win over the neighbours across Braddell Road, Balestier Khalsa. And the story had it a former Balestier coach (P N Sivaji) devised the plan and two of the goals were scored by former Tigers stars - Kengne Ludovick and Norikazu Murakami. So the Protectors are through to the next round, while Balestier's youngsters are still learning the harsh reality of professional football that will benefit them in the near future. Snap of the action from stand. Home United's skipper S Subramani (no. 5) made his return to the game in the second half. Home United's coach Mr PN Sivaji with the media after the match "I'm happy with the result and the way we played, especially the passing of the ball." said Coach Sivaji. "In the first half, Balestier played a 5-3-2 and when they switched a 4-4-2 formation in the second half, you can see ...
