The highly anticipated 4 STARS LIONS NATIONAL TEAM KIT was finally launched today amid a fanfare held at the Nike's outlet at the Suntec City this afternoon.

According to the media release issued, as early as 7am queue was formed outside the store of the sporting giants, who are also the apparel sponsors of the Singapore national team who did the national proud last December by clinching the AFF Suzuki Cup and claimed Asean football supremacy for the unprecedented fourth time.

To commemorative this outstanding achievement for the Republic and also due to a huge demand for them, Nike decided to produce the home and away edition of the jersey that featuring the fourth star with the word 'Champions' on the back, after the away edition first made its appearance after the final whistle of the Cup Final in Bangkok with the home edition unveiled during the victory celebration at the Jalan Besar Stadium the following day.

One hundred (100) boxes of the exclusive collector's box (pictured above) that features the four stars kit imprinted in gold, with a serial number to identify the limited run were made available for sale on the same day and were all snapped up within the same day.

Inside of the box featured individual stories from AFF Championship-winning captains, Nazri Nasir, Aide Iskandar and Shahril Ishak, who have captained the Lions to victories in 1998, 2004, 2007 and 2012.

“Winning the fourth star is a historic moment for the Lions and their fans. We hope that getting the winning captains to share their experiences with the next generation of athletes would inspire them to aim towards a fifth star for Singapore.” said Mr Vijaya Kumar Jayaraj, Nike Singapore Country Marketing Manager of the launch of this commemorative kit in the same release.

Echoed the same thoughts, Courts Young Lions coach Aide Iskandar, who skippered the Lions in the 2004 and 2007 victory:"I hope that sharing our stories today will inspire the young players and help them understand what it takes to succeed in football. The support and response from the fans has been inspiring, and I am sure there are a lot of supporters out there who would feel proud to wear the national team kit, and be reminded of the Lion’s achievements."

For S$149, fans can own a piece of this limited collectible item 
Fans who missed out in getting their hands on one of the exclusive collector sets today, will still have a chance to do so in days to come when it was announced that another 100 set will be made available at Weston Corporation/s outlet at Queensway Shopping Center.
