Shame on you lot, for those guilty ones at Woodlands Stadium...

Yeah.. Shame on you lot!! Imaging an injured player currently fighting for his life now in the hospital, being subjected to some crude, low-class insulting remarks by some idiots at the stands. For those of you, who were guilty of making some remarks, you ought to be SHAME for yourself.. I certainly hope you aren't a parent of some kids, if not, you will definitely regret for what you did just now at Woodlands Stadium when the day come your kids make such remark on someone laying motionless on the ground. Credits to the stadium announcer and the relevant officers for calming down the situation.. May the injured player - Park Tae Won get well soon.. My sincere thoughts and regards to Park, his family and Woodlands Wellington FC.

It is a sad day

It is a sad day for football or the whole local sporting fraternity, if you do, as well, consider the ugly spat between shuttler Ron Susilo and his former fianceè Lee Jiawei. First, many fans have to resign to the reality that they will have to fork out more to enjoy top-notch football on television (personally, I don't consider terrestrial channels free either since there's the annual TV licence fee that tagged with your property tax, remember?) Blame for the small consumer size that we have that we are being charged at a rate we consider a "rip-off". In the spirit of the "free market", the MDA (the relevant authority) stand firm on its "non-intervention" policy, despite a huge public outcry. Yet, the sad thing is that they are still plenty of guys willing to pay that ridiculous subscription, just to meet their "temptation" (see the "cut-out"picture above). I'm sorry but I would say these lots are PATHETIC and I hope they a...

It's not just about sun, sand and seas

Picture from "Wiki" I think that's the impressions of the Maldives, whenever people mentioned about this chain of islands off India are the SUN, SAND and the SEA. No doubt, it's a dream paradise for all holiday makers. But I would suggest this next time if you are there, take some time off the sun-bathing and catch some football action on the islands. Draw this conclusion after I saw Victory SC, one of the Maldivians clubs in the AFC Cup competition gave Home United a hard fight at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Normally, any foreign team played on this artificial surface of JBS would find it hard to get used to it, but not the Maldivians. It was surprise to see how well they adapted to the surface and even took the lead first! (not mentioned the blooper by Lions' custodian Lionel Lewis at the nearpost.. Ooops). But the home team picked themselves up and claimed the victory at the end of the day. PICTURES FROM JBS The coaches - (L-R) Mr PN Sivaji of Home United, Mr Ma...

Rams Gutted...

Thought should have this post updated last night but it was late and tired after reaching home from Woodlands at around 11.30pm. The rain was pouring prior the start of the match between Woodlands and Tampines that the referee decided to push the kick-off to 8pm. Anyway, the match concluded without the repeat of last year's "walk-out" (Thank Goodness) But I just can't help but feel sorry for the Woodlands Rams, for the second time in four days, undeserving drop some crucial points. At CCK last Saturday, the last 15 minutes of madness saw Woodlands threw any at least a point against the defending champions - SAFFC. While last night, while they thought they might be leap-frogged to fourth position but only to see Tampines levelled the scores with the last kick of the game from their badly exposed left of their defensive wall. Hard luck men but these are the mistakes you guys shouldn't made... Bear that in mind :P
