Prepare for another "Westlife Concert"

I was not at Bugis Junction this afternoon to witness the draw of the annual RHB Singapore Cup competition, but managed to gather some feedback from the tweets and timeline in between my work. The Hellas wouldn't be coming  With the pulling out of Australia's South Melbourne FC (pictured above) due to its congested fixture back home, their place was taken up by another foreign side in the form of Yotha FC from Laos (which was only made known officially this afternoon). The first time inclusion of a Laotian side into this local premier cup competition meaning a total of 16 teams from EIGHT different countries will be featured in this knock-out tournament scheduled to kick off in May. "Girls!! James is coming back to Singapore!!" Huge expat turnout will be expected when both Loyola Meralco Sparks (featuring the Younghusband brothers - Phil and James) of the Philippines and Burma's KBZ FC (led by former national coach Mr PN Sivaji) when they take on

Could have done it better...

I was wondering if this boy know who is this S.League footballer "in front" of him I would like to apologize for the lack of update of late due to my heavy day job workload that has been piling up in recent months (those who know me personally should know how my workplace has been under scrutiny of since last December). Anyway, just to blog a short entry here to keep the pace going (of course, not blindly for the sake of it) when I chanced upon what I saw yesterday (as pictured above) at one of the MRT stations. Beside the goalkeeper, other who are featured in this series of advertising campaign includes the likes of Lions XII stars Isa Halim , Khairul Amri and the legendary Fandi Ahmad . However, for those who you might have seen those posters spreading aro

"Kena Tiang"

Ahmad Fahmie's second half effort "Kena Tiang" (hit the upright) To Tampines Rovers, Kitchee SC of Hong Kong had proven to be a tough proposition with their Catalan-inspired style of play in both's second meetup in the AFC Cup Group F preliminaries. The swift passing with the movement on and off the ball by the current Hong Kong Division One table-toppers had definitely placed them on a much favourable position to break the deadlock in the first half, if not for the heroics of Croatian custodian Sasa Dreven on several occasions. Stags' Benoit Croissant (right) and Anaz Hadee (center) up against Kitchee's Lam Ka Wai (left) Much of this handicap shown could attributed to the absence of midfield enforcer Fahrudin Mustafic, who was serving his suspension, that resulted such a precarious situation for the defending S.League champions. Still, the Stags counted themselves unlucky in the second period of play with Ahmad Fahmie's effort in the box str
