First posting of the year of "Harimau"...

Just wondering if you guys encounter this situation like I always do when the discussion is on Singapore soccer that some people tend to pan it down mercilessly? Not that long ago, I received an email from a reader who asked me "to stop writing about the S.League" simply because "will kill sg football in the long run" [sic]. Further discussion with this reader via email, I came to realize that he's one of those nostalgic folks who still clamouring for the return to the Malaysia Cup. While I may not agree to what this reader had suggested (keep the s-league and at the same time send a Singapore representative team to take part in both the m-league and m-cup [sic]) , as I was one of those "sick and tired" of those bullying tactics by those folks in KL that pulling out was the wise thing to do so then. However, the point of this blog entry is not to set as a platform to debate whether who is right or wrong about that "pulling out". Instead, it&

Prt-Scr of the Blog's Facebook group Out of spontaneous, I had created a FACEBOOK group for this blog. "just created for future necessity" is the reason why this group is created, this group will served primarily as an online archive of those photos I snapped since I decided to get down to the ground level to capture those "easily-forgotten" moments of Singapore football. Other than that, there are no other plan for the time being until further notification via this blog or on the group page itself. After 2 years..New Template...here's the verdict (edited)

Just changed my blog template from 2 columns to 3 columns... now left a bit of fine-tuning here and there. The idea to switch from 2 to 3 columns is to make the blog less-cluttered, as you can see for yourself that the main column is now flanked by the two side columns with the content of the side menu evenly distributed out. Unfortunately, the template has no room for the iconic title bar (below) that it had no other choice but call it a day, thanks for the past almost one-half-year of service. And did a survey to gather feedback on the new template and here is the outcome - The result shows that you can't please everybody and this template is here to stay till the next change is deemed necessary, thanks for taking part in the poll...

665 on that day and thank you so much :)

Thank you very much - that's all I want to say, "Thank you very much". 20th May 2009 shall be remembered as another milestone day for this OMO blog as it registered its biggest number of visits to this site since its launch in December 1996. 665 may be insignificant as compared to top sites like "soccernet" or any established brand but to me it's unimaginable when normally I would be glad if the daily figure is around or close to 100. I promise that I'll try my very best to further improve this blog, please feel free to email me or left a comment on the entries posted to share your views with me. Thank you for your support all along :)

Meet up with a fellow blogger (Mr Antony Sutton)

With Antony after the game at Bishan Stadium (many thanks to Mr Visakan Subramaniam for the shot) Met up with Mr Antony Sutton, the man behind the Jakarta Casual at the Bishan Stadium. This was Antony's second visit to the Bishan stadium in a space of a week and glad he enjoyed himself. It's nice and exciting to meet up with a fellow blogger who shares the same interest in blogging and football. Recently, Antony penned a well-written article (click on the link) on what he saw and observed about the locals' attitude towards the S.League Thanks Antony.. (P.S: Rest assured, what happened to Home United for the past two outings at Bishan were purely coincidence, Antony :P)
