The set might appeared to look "dark" as I stick to 1/400 for all these shots with the usual "default JBS setting". Harimau Muda's Wan Zack Haikal proved to be why he could the hot contender for the "Young Player of the Year" with his industrious rate on the flanks and duly rewarded with his opener (and a yellow too) before the end of the first half. Geylang did unleashed their trump card in Amy Recha but it was rather late for him to show us what he's capable. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SEE

[Feature] H-TWO-O Football School Camp with Fandi Ahmad

(The entry is formulated from the transcript of the media release obtained via YEO'S, the makers of H-TWO-O) (P.S: The copyrights of the images depicted in this blog entry belong to YEO'S, unless stated on the images itself.) Fandi (in yellow shirt) briefs the student at the camp The June school holidays should never be a dull affair, as it's a time for students to get away from the books and out of the four walls of their classrooms to indulge themselves in fun-filled activities under the sunny skies of this island nation. With that in mind, H-TWO-O introduced its inaugural Football School Camp with Fandi Ahmad, its newly appointed ambassador at the reins. The camp was aim to give students an opportunity to learn new skills, promote team work and good sportsmanship. Getting the right combination

Geylang Field is the alternate base for the Lions I was at Geylang Field this afternoon to catch the national team in their ongoing centralized training session. Normally, the session would be held on the artificial turf of Jalan Besar, but with the main ground being used for a televised event, coach Raddy Avramovic and his assistant, former skipper Aide Iskandar led their charges on this obscured turf concealed in the back alleys of Geylang. Coach Raddy's (back facing, second from right) briefing session Team manager Eugene Loo confirmed with this blogger that during the three friendly matches slated for the coming June, which will see the Lions play against Hong Kong (away - 1st June ) and Malaysia (home - 8th June and away - 12th June ), that FIFA ranking points will be awarded. Opportunity to push up the world ranking aside, what probably matter most is to perform well in the year end's AFF Suzuki Cup ultimately. Said midfield anchorman Isa Halim (pictur

The thing had really "SPILLED over" instead of "SPILL over"

"It is hoped that given time more fans who have attended LionsXII matches at Jalan Besar will continue to go to the S-League stadiums." said S.League CEO Lim Chin in this morning's TODAY article "Sizzling action, fizzling figures" (screen grab below). courtesy of Mediacorp TODAY I really hope that I share the same optimism like what Mr Lim has envisaged, but unfortunately, I couldn't do so. The reason is very simple, if the projected "spill-over" effect on the S.League was meant to take place with the Lions XII's participation of the MSL, then why wasn't that effect took place 17 years ago or earlier? Back to those days before 1994, the semi-professional (or amateur) Premier League ran concurrently with Singapore's participation in the Malaysia Cup tournament. "I still recalled that I had to ask the drink vendor the fixture listing of games to be played at that stadium instead of flipping through the papers!" Th

[Instant Reaction] Let's guess a riddle...

Picture tells a thousand words, as they always said. I shall not dwell on too long over the newly announced national team squad list in prep for the upcoming friendliest against Hong Kong and Malaysia. And I thought the depicted picture shall more or less tell a thing or two of my reaction to the announcement. Have a good time to decipher what the picture is trying to tell, but I am sorry that no prize is given if anyone guess what I mean. Happy Guessing ...
